Makinex to debut forced action mixer at World of Concrete 2026
By keeping material contained during mixing, the Forced Action Mixer reduces material loss and maintains accurate mix ratios

Makinex, a global manufacturer of job site equipment focused on safety, productivity, and efficiency, will debut the Forced Action Mixer (FAM) at the World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas. Makinex will also display its 16-foot Sierra Light Tower for the first time in North America at the concrete trade show.
Features of the Forced Action Mixer (FAM)
The 265 lb (120 kg) FAM is 29.9 in wide x 38.6 in depth x 47.6-54.1 in height. It uses a controlled, "forced mixing" process rather than a traditional paddle action, delivering more uniform results with high-viscosity materials while reducing dust and cleanup time. A sealed, AC-geared motor provides efficient, consistent torque with 1,100 W output, supporting the 37.1 gallon (140 L) mixing capacity.
A unique concave, inverted, anti-spill lid and replaceable liner are designed for less mess, less downtime, and extended service life. By keeping material contained during mixing, the FAM reduces material loss and helps maintain accurate mix ratios. The removable liner allows fast changeovers between screeds, mortars, epoxy-bound aggregates, and cementitious materials, eliminating cross-contamination and reducing cleaning time between batches.
Adjustable legs stabilize the mixer at uneven job sites, ensuring a level mixing surface, while rear transport wheels support easy loading and unloading. Additional features include a built-in vacuum port for dust suppression and removable mixing handles for easier cleaning and maintenance.
"North American contractors are being asked to do more with fewer people, tighter timelines, and increasingly complex materials," said Brandy Carmona, product manager, Makinex North America. "Our focus at Makinex is to bring equipment to market that makes work safer, easier and more efficient to manage on today's job sites. The new Forced Action Mixer is a clear example of how we're bringing proven engineering and practical innovation to the North American market."
The electric Sierra Light Tower at WOC
Makinex will also showcase its well-established electric Sierra Light Tower (PLT-800-US), a compact, high-performance LED lighting solution designed for rapid, one-person deployment.
Standing at 16.4 ft (5 m) when fully extended, it delivers up to 112,000 lumen, effectively illuminating areas up to a half-acre, or 23,680 sq ft (2,200 sq m). Weighing only 108 lbs (49 kg) and featuring a transport height of 3.9 ft (1.2 m), the Sierra is portable and can fit into standard vehicles.
The Sierra features four fully-rotational, 360-degree light heads for versatile lighting configurations, while the electric mast ensures quick and effortless elevation.
Engineered for durability, the Sierra operates silently and is built to withstand winds up to 67.1 mph and temperatures as low as -22 Fahrenheit, making it ideal for construction sites; emergency and disaster response; roadwork and traffic control; and mining and industrial applications.
"This light tower is ideal for indoors, outdoors, even underground tunnel work," said Carmona. "Having the mast adjustment with the fully-rotational lights allows you to light in any direction. You don't have to have the mast or the tower all the way up; you can adjust it as needed."
"All of our products are plug-and-play, ready to go," said Carmona. "If they ever do need service, we are known for providing red-carpet, white-glove customer care."
