Canadian Rental Association and Marketplace Events collaborate to strengthen 2026 heavy equipment shows
The partnership will focus on educational initiatives, increased member visibility, and stronger industry engagement

A new partnership between Marketplace Events (MPE) and the Canadian Rental Association (CRA) for the 2026 event season will reinforce both groups' commitments to advancing Canada's heavy equipment and rental industries.
This collaboration will span four major events, beginning with two in 2026:
The Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show (AHES) will take place from March 26 to 27 in Moncton, New Brunswick. Celebrating 40 years of driving heavy industry in Atlantic Canada, AHES is the region's largest showcase of equipment, services, and technology. With over 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibits, it attracts 10,000+ professionals from across the Maritimes and beyond.
The National Heavy Equipment Show (NHES) will be held from April 23 to 24 in Mississauga, Ontario. Canada's largest heavy equipment trade event, NHES, brings together industry leaders, cutting-edge machinery, and innovative solutions for construction, road building, and more.
The partnership will extend into future events, Expo Grands Travaux and the Alberta Equipment Expo in 2027, further expanding the reach and impact of this collaboration.
With a shared vision of strengthening the heavy equipment and rental sectors, MPE and CRA are aligning efforts to enhance the overall show experience for exhibitors, attendees, and industry professionals. The partnership will focus on educational initiatives, increased member visibility, and stronger industry engagement.
Boosting industry strength
"This partnership is about more than just putting on great events — it's about bringing people together and making these shows even more valuable for everyone involved," said Mark Cusack, national show manager at Marketplace Events. "Working with CRA helps us build stronger connections, deliver meaningful education, and create a better experience for both exhibitors and attendees."
Melanie Misener, executive director of CRA, added, "We're excited to bring our members closer to these key industry events. Our collaboration with Marketplace Events ensures the CRA community is not only present, but actively contributing to the success and vibrancy of the shows."
