SharpGrade recently launched the G73 grader blade, engineered for 30- to 50-hp CTLs and articulated wheel loaders. The G73 fills a gap for contractors seeking professional-grade accuracy on small, challenging job sites, while having the capacity to grade open areas quickly.

Fully articulated with the wings closed, the G73 measures just 45.5 inches (1.15m) and opens to 73 inches (1.85m) when open with the hydraulic side wings. Multiple hitch options are available to suit the most common models in the compact range. Rotation Sensor, IMU mounts, and external data ports are available to plug and play most 3D solutions, including GPS and LPS.

The G73 performs with agile grade accuracy, rapid setup and removal, zero cross-coupling for unmatched responsiveness, and the ability to grade in reverse, all in a compact, lightweight frame ideal for urban infill, landscape grading, paving, and residential construction.

QuadGrade Power Pro has all functions integrated into the touch screen with no wiring on the base machine, an industry first. Swapping between base machines becomes a breeze: a true interchangeable, plug-and-play solution, ideal for rental companies and large fleet operators with multiple machines. With a built-in, tamperproof hour meter, real-time diagnostics, remote technician access, linked override, and all functions on one screen, it is the most intuitive, operator-friendly system available.

Futures on the SharpGrade G73

  • Sealed, shielded, and lifetime lubricated bearings never require greasing.
  • SharpGrade's patented QuadRod 3 linkage design keeps the blade parallel throughout movement to maintain equal height between the front and rear blade
  • The Zero Cross Coupling design gives the operator the ability to operate one side of the blade without influencing the position of the other.
  • Slim frame width, tight turning radius, and hydraulic side wings allow access to spaces larger machines can't reach.
  • Retracting Front Wheel offers an open 6-way blade with side wings to blade through piles, short transport length with the shortest length to manoeuvre through tight spaces.
  • QuadGrade Power Pro allows the operator to control all functions directly from the touch screen while in auto mode, no additional buttons or wiring required on the base machine.

With its low operating weight and powerful performance, the G73 is particularly well-suited for equipment rental companies, who can now offer a grading solution with 2D or 3D machine control options that's operator-friendly, rental-friendly, transportable, and built to withstand job site abuse.

"The G73 is designed to bring pro-level grading precision to jobs where space and machine size are restricted," says Rodney Sharp, director of SharpGrade. "It's an ideal solution for contractors, landscapers, and hire fleets who need to get in, get out, and get the job done right the first time. The ability to simultaneously articulate the blade and hydraulic side wings forward and reverse makes it ideal for grading around service pipes, confined areas, but also narrow linear work such as sidewalks, cycle ways, kerb and gutter, etc, significantly reducing manual raking. Being able to grade in reverse removes track marks, improves accuracy, and increases productivity."
