Wirtgen debuts compact milling machine at World of Asphalt

The Wirtgen Group is presenting a cross-section of its sustainable technologies for the road construction process chain at World of Asphalt/AGG1, including the debut of a new compact milling machine.

Wirtgen's W 150 Fi compact milling machine has a milling width of up to 6 feet, making it particularly suitable for use on major construction projects with restricted space, such as inner-city locations. An environmentally friendly engine from John Deere combines with digital assistance and leveling systems to deliver higher milling performance with lower fuel consumption.

The HD+ 120i VIO-2 HF articulated tandem roller from Hamm has been designed specifically for the American market. It is equipped with two maintenance-free VIO drums that can work with either vibration or oscillation. Hamm will also highlight the battery-powered HD 12e VV electric tandem roller, which is quiet and generates zero local emissions. It will be available in North America this summer.

Vogele solutions for asphalt paving that will be on display include the SUPER 1703-3i wheeled paver and the SUPER 2000-3i tracked paver.

On the materials processing side, the Wirtgen Group will show the Kleemann MOBIREX MR 110i EVO2 impact crusher, often seen working together with John Deere's 744 P-Tier wheel loader, which will also be at the show.

Digitalization and connected systems are key development areas for the Wirtgen Group, above and beyond machine efficiency and alternative applications. Wirtgen will show the John Deere Operations Center for construction machines, a central platform for all present and future digital solutions developed by the group's specialized brands for the optimization of processes, machines, and services.
