The first Tadano 120-ton truck crane has arrived in Canada and will join the fleet at the Myshak Group, which has been supplying cranes to Alberta contractors and businesses for more than 20 years.

The GT-1200XL-2 truck crane has a five-section, 167.3-foot main boom, a 33.1/58.1-foot bi-fold jib, and a maximum speed of 105 km/h. It joins the Myshak Crane & Rigging fleet after Myshak provided key input on axle weights, dollies, and more during the development and design of the new taxi crane.

Myshak Crane & Rigging has been operating in Alberta since 2005, serving oil and gas, industrial, construction, and renewable industries within the province and Western Canada. For the Myshak Group, the GT-1200XL-2 fits an ideal spot in its fleet, and with Tadano's reputation for well-designed, high-performance cranes, it expects the crane to be popular with contractors throughout the region.

Tadano America Regional Business Manager Justin Andrews added, "We are very excited that the first GT-1200XL-2 in Canada will go to Myshak. The GT-1200XL-2 is an outstanding machine, and it will be the perfect taxi crane for Myshak's customer base."

New Tadano truck cranes in the Canadian and U.S markets easily acquire special permitting for transport, as they feature low axle weights, narrow transport width, and long boom designs. The GT-1200XL-2 is designed for high utilization, good return on investment, and lower cost of ownership. Built with many of the same components as GR Series rough-terrain cranes, these new models offer the same quality and ruggedness as their counterparts.

Tadano America Vice President of Sales Ken Butz is pleased that Myshak will receive the inaugural GT-1200XL-2 in Canada.

"The Myshak family and Tadano have enjoyed a strong and successful partnership for many years. They have proudly represented the Tadano brand in western Canada by building an extensive fleet of Tadano cranes including GR rough-terrain, AC all-terrain, CC lattice boom crawler cranes, and GTC telescopic boom crawler cranes," Butz said. "Both Myshak and Tadano are dedicated to exceeding customer expectations by offering the best quality and service in the crane industry, and the addition of the new model GT-1200XL-2 truck crane will play a key role in helping both of our companies achieve that goal."
