Terex Rough Terrain Cranes has introduced the TRT65 rough terrain crane – the latest model in the TRT product range. The crane caters to several applications, including ports, construction, infrastructure, mining, energy, yard logistics, and general lifting.

"It was fantastic to showcase our new TRT65 at SaMoTer," says Stefania D'Apoli, senior sales support manager of rough terrain cranes at Terex Rough Terrain Cranes. "The show is highlighting how sophisticated technologies connect operators with machines, and our TRT is an ideal example since it features the new generation of the Terex Operating System (TEOS). This technology improves usability and information flow using a new, 10-inch full-colour touchscreen display with an intuitive interface to maximize efficient and safe operation and maintenance. New features include the possibility to have a camera embedded in the touchscreen screen, enabling the operator to watch directly from the TEOS display. It was good to discuss the capability of our equipment with visitors at the show."

The TRT65 (65-ton maximum lifting capacity and a main boom of 43.5-metres) is the fourth model of the TRT range. It has a synchronized, five-section boom, which gives the operator ideal lifting performance irrespective of boom length. An important feature is the crane width of only three metres, allowing the crane to be easily transported and maneuvered, even in congested job sites and narrow areas. Four steering options help increase maneuverability.

Adding to its versatility, the TRT65 utilizes powershift, a permanent four-wheel drive with two different modes, either manual mode (three speeds forward and three speeds reverse) or automatic mode (six speeds forward and three speeds reverse). A tiltable cabin with a large glass surface provides ideal visibility and comfort.

The TRT65 is equipped with a Cummins six-cylinder engine. The engine utilizes an eco mode function to bring high power and low fuel consumption, and the engine features anti-stall control.

Terex T-Link telematics comes as standard on the TRT65. The TRT65 can be customized with options including an 8/15 metre lattice type jib, radio remote controller, an auxiliary winch (with the same performance as the standard winch), outrigger control from the carrier, and an anemometer.

The TRT65 and TRT70US (the American market model) are available to order from local dealers.
