The JCB AJ48D articulated boom, part of JCB's mobile elevated work platform (MEWP) range, was a highlight at the American Rental Association (ARA) Show. The machine is powered by a Tier 4 Final JCB by Kohler Diesel engine, with a load capacity up to 551lb, enough for two occupants plus tools and 48 ft 4 in of lift height.

Both base and platform controls offer a user-friendly layout with function speed control for operator ease-of-use and stable operation. The machine is equipped with the same components that have proven durability on JCB construction equipment.

"The JCB AJ48D, as well as our complete range of scissor lifts, have been designed in response to our customer's requests," said Ashby Graham, General Manager of Product and Marketing for JCB North America. "By adding this machine to our fleet, we have the ability to offer our customers an exceptional articulated boom with unmatched control, efficiency, and safety features that epitomizes the world-class standards of JCB."
