Genie will showcase new and established products during The Rental Show, October 17-20, 2021, in Las Vegas. In addition, Genie will showcase its Lift Connect Telematics solution, including the new Access Manager add-on feature that allows equipment owners to remotely manage access to their fleet.

"For more than 55 years, Genie has delivered quality equipment and services to the lifting equipment rental market. I'm excited to be returning to The ARA Show so our customers can see, first-hand, the exciting products and accessories we've launched over the last year and a half. These new models are easier to maintain, reduce the total cost of ownership for equipment owners and, at the same time, improve productivity for the end user," says Genie President, Simon Meester. "This kind of purposeful innovation, which adds value for our customers and produces real-world results on the jobsite, is exactly what we mean when we talk about delivering on Genie's new brand promise, Quality By Design."

GTH telehandlers: reliable, hassle-free performance

Three models in the Genie GTH telehandler family (GTH-1056, GTH-5519, and GTH-844) all feature new DEF-free engines. The 74 hp DEF-free engine eliminates the need to add diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), saving time and maintenance costs, and improving fuel efficiency without compromising jobsite performance. The GTH-1056 is available with a 3-speed powershift transmission or with Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Engines are side-mounted for simpler service access, and commonality of parts across the GTH product line lowers total cost of ownership.

A Genie S-60 J telescopic boom lift

Genie boom lifts for every job site

Genie's boom lift family will be represented by the S-60 J telescopic boom, S-65 XC (Xtra Capacity) boom and the articulating Z-45 FE hybrid model.

Introduced last year, Genie J series boom lifts are ideally suited for work-at-height tasks including general construction, maintenance, inspection and painting, while simplifying and reducing maintenance and lowering the total cost of ownership. The S-60 J and the higher-reaching S-80 J telescopic boom lifts offer a leading unrestricted platform capacity of 660 lb (300 kg), as well as a standard 6 ft jib. An optimized design also means J series boom lifts weigh less than comparable booms, which keeps ground pressure low on more sensitive ground conditions.

For heavier-lifting applications, Genie XC boom lifts are designed to provide an unrestricted platform capacity of 660 lb (300 kg), and a restricted capacity of 1,000 lb (454 kg). With booms ranging up to a max working height of 141 ft (43.15 m), XC booms are idea for applications that require higher capacities, such as welding and steel erection.

Genie FE booms are versatile, "no compromise" hybrid machines, combining the benefits of the clean, quiet operation of an all-electric boom with the power and performance of a diesel machine. Genie FE booms can work indoors and outdoors, boosting utilization and productivity, and on jobsites with noise and emissions restrictions.

A Genie GS 1932M slab scissor lift

Long run times and low maintenance

Genie E-Drive will be showcased on three scissor lifts: GS-1932 and two new micro scissors, the GS-1432m and GS-1932m. The ultra-efficient, fully-sealed, brushless AC electric drive system has 70 fewer hoses and fittings, reducing maintenance costs, and offers improved performance with 30 longer runtime per charge and real-world torque and traction.

The new micro scissor lifts, which make their debut at the show, offer full-sized performance in a compact package. Because they are light weight and can fit through standard doorways and into elevators, the GS-1432m and 1932m can reach jobsites inaccessible to other, standard-sized scissor lifts.

These scissor lifts will be shown with Genie Lift Tools, optional accessories that are designed to maximize safe productivity. The Genie Lift Tools Access Deck provides a secondary surface for operators to stand on inside the deck guardrails, increasing their ability to reach overhead and into space-restricted areas. The Lift Tools Spill Guard is a hydraulic containment system, allowing operators to work over sensitive surfaces without concern. Preventing leaks reduces the environmental impact and costs associated with cleanup.

Tool kit simplifies load calibration tests

A brand new calibration tool kit, available from Genie Parts, includes everything service personnel need to make it easier and faster to do a full load calibration test of Genie boom lifts equipped with digital load sense. First introduced in 2017, Genie digital Load Sense has no linkages, no springs and no actuating parts for a simple and rugged design. It continuously monitors the weight in the platform and adjusts the operating envelope according to the boom lift's load chart.

With the calibration tool kit, testing the Load Sense system — part of the machine's annual inspection — is getting even easier and quicker, allowing service personnel to conduct the full load calibration without the hassle of putting physical weights in the platform, which can be time consuming. Using the kit, testing and calibration can now be performed in less than 10 minutes by one person.

The calibration tool kit will debut at ARA.

Quality by design

Rounding out the equipment display on the Genie booth will be the tried-and-true Genie AWP-30 aerial work platform and GR-20 vertical mast lift, as well as the GL-12, and SLC-18 material lifts. These highly-portable and popular products offer convenient options to enhance worksite productivity. Show attendees also will have an opportunity to learn more about Access Manager, a new, add-on accessory for the Genie Lift Connect Telematics solution that enables operators to remotely manager access to their fleets.

"For 55 years, Genie has built a legacy of delivering quality solutions that enable safe, productive work at height and help our customers' businesses grow," Meester says. "We achieve that quality not by chance, but by design. I'm excited to be able to showcase some of our newest examples of Genie quality."
