Kobelco introduces next generation excavators
KOBELCO Construction Machinery has introduced the enhanced SK75SR-7 and SK85CS-7 excavator models in North America. This next generation of KOBELCO SR Series of mid-size machines, offer short rear swing capabilities and a range of new features.
Performance enhancements allow the SK75SR-7 and SK85CS-7 to deliver greater efficiency and productivity as well as increased power and speed than preceding models. With a dynamic digging force of 14,070-lbs and an impressive ~37% increase in digging speed, the excavators deliver continuous operation and reduce cycle times by ~15%. A new Tier IV Final engine increases power output by ~28% and enables both machines to maintain superior productivity and efficiency - even while working at high power levels, lifting heavy loads, or traveling on steep grades.
The new excavators feature a compact design and long digging reach to provide easy maneuverability and a broad working range. Enhanced multi-function capabilities include an attachment selection system with adjustable flow-rate presets for the bucket, breaker, nibbler and thumb, allowing the operator to change between tools quickly and easily. The machines also feature the exclusive KOBELCO iNDr Cooling System to deliver ultra-quiet operation.
When it comes to comfort and maintenance, the SK75SR-7 and SK85CS-7 offer intuitive operation and comprehensive safety. These KOBELCO machines come standard with an ergonomic lever and air ride suspension seat to reduce operating force and fatigue by ~25%. Both models also boast various cab features, including an optimized control layout with a new jog dial and 10-inch color monitor. Built in rear, left and right-side cameras with a customizable split-screen display function enhances operator awareness and jobsite safety. Furthermore, easy access to the cooling unit, engine compartment and electrical components ensure convenient day-to-day maintenance.
