Snorkel is showcasing an expanded China-built product line at the bi-annual Bauma China exhibition in Shanghai.

The 120-square-metre Snorkel stand in the outdoor area will feature a Snorkel A46JE electric articulated boom lift manufactured at its 3,000-square-metre facility in Jintan, Jiangsu Province, China. The A46JE is the third Snorkel model to be assembled in China for the domestic market, alongside Snorkel S3219E and S4732E electric scissor lifts which were introduced in 2017.

The Snorkel A46JE assembly line in Jintan was opened in June 2018, and is now in full production supplying customers in China. This is the third manufacturing location for this model, with Snorkel also building the A46JE in its facilities in Kansas, U.S.A. and Washington, U.K.

The Snorkel A46JE is an electric-powered articulating boom lift that can lift 227 kg to a working height of 16.1 metres.  The high-performance A46JE delivers a superb working envelope, with the added flexibility of a jib boom and powered platform rotation. Compact dimensions, a tight inside turning radius of just 0.53 metres and a zero tailswing make this the ideal boom lift for working in confined spaces.

A well-established product that is popular across the world, the Snorkel A46JE weighs just 6,850 kg, is only 1.7 metres wide and delivers a working outreach of up to 7.35 metres. The spacious, tri-entry 1.85- x 1.0-metre platform features Snorkel Guard secondary guarding as standard, and is fitted with smooth, multi-function proportional controls.

The introduction of the Snorkel A46JE line represents Snorkel's continued investment in the China market, and supports domestic customer demand for additional models.

Matthew Elvin, Snorkel CEO, said, "We are very pleased to introduce this new product assembly line into the Jintan facility, to meet demand in the region. We remain committed to exceeding the needs of our Chinese customer base and will continue to invest to fulfill these requirements. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our valued customers and partners for their business and ongoing support."

At Bauma China 2018, Snorkel will display a total of seven electric lifts, including the China-built S3219E and S4732E scissor lifts and A46JE electric articulated boom lift.

Providing further representation of Snorkel's electric boom family, the Snorkel A38E and MB26J will be on display. Combining superb maneuverability with clean and quiet battery operation, the lightweight Snorkel A38E offers a working height up to 13.5 metres and up to 5.9 metres of outreach. The Snorkel MB26J mast boom also delivers excellent performance with zero emissions, featuring a jib boom for up-and-over capabilities from a compact footprint.

Designed for contractors and facilities maintenance professionals, Snorkel mast lifts are lightweight, portable work platforms that can easily pass through standard doorways. Where the convenience of a self-propelled unit is preferred, the hydraulic-drive Snorkel TM12 provides the ideal telescopic mast lift solution for most applications. Known worldwide for its versatility and durability, the TM12 offers a maximum working height of 5.6 metres and has a platform capacity of 227 kg which can easily hold two people with tools.

The robust and compact Snorkel UL40 is a push-around mast lift capable of providing superb stability and reach coupled with excellent lift capacity. Delivering safe and stable working heights of up to 14.1 metres, the Snorkel UL40 mast lift is built standard with a Girder Lock mast design, non-marking casters, and an easy-loader system for transport.

Snorkel can be found at Stand G.08 in the Outdoor area at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center (SNEIC) during Bauma China, which runs from November 27 to 30, 2018.
