Erich Janke, industry pioneer and Terrafirma Equipment founder and owner, passes away at 72
The North American heavy equipment industry lost one of its pioneers, March 8th, when Erich Janke, owner of Terrafirma Equipment, passed away at the Edmonton Cross Cancer Institute, surrounded by friends and family, near his home and business headquarters.
Erich Janke co-founded Terrafirma Equipment in 1967, with one re-built wheel loader. Since then, the company has grown into one of the most trusted names in construction, demolition, recycling and aggregate processing equipment sales and rentals in Canada. Erich Janke will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
