Kioti parent Daedong celebrates 70 years
Daedong Industrial Company, LTD., will celebrate their 70th anniversary this May. In 1947, Sam-Man Kim founded Daedong Industrial Company with his four brothers, pioneering Korea's agricultural equipment industry. As the country battled famine and exhaustion following World War II, the desperate need for agricultural mechanization fueled Kim's determination and creativity that produced a succession of machines which increased food production throughout a critical time during Korea's industrialization. 70 years later, Mr. Kim's legacy of passion and dedication to the agricultural industry embodies the spirit of Daedong Industrial and the KIOTI Tractor brand.
Today, Daedong Industrial's durable, high-quality line of products has penetrated over 60 global markets, including subsidiaries located in the USA, China and Europe. Daedong Industrial's export brand, KIOTI Tractor, has greatly impacted the tractor market in North America, experiencing continuous sustainable growth while embracing the company's tradition of supplying customers with the best quality products and service.
"The 70th anniversary marks Daedong Industrial's unrivaled dedication to the innovation, investment and growth of our products and culture" said J.S. Kim, Chairman, Daedong-USA, Inc. and Vice Chairman, Daedong Industrial Co., LTD. "Although we started in ironworks producing farming tools, the manufacture of our first engine established the basis for our modern agriculture industry. Seven decades later, we've built our legacy as a leader in global agriculture manufacturing."
"As we continue to innovate and create new products and technologies, our company will always focus our attention to our customers and the spirit of our founder Sam-Man Kim. With every challenge, we focus on adapting our technology and equipment to deliver the best machine-owning experience." adds Kim.
