More power and performance while meeting Tier 4 Final specs

Case launches updated G Series wheel loader line with 7 new models

Case Construction Equipment has introduced an update to its wheel loader line with seven new models that meet Tier 4 Final specs while improving performance and power across the board.

The G Series wheel loaders, which encompass models from 141 to 347 horsepower and bucket capacities of 2.1 to 6.25 cubic yards, are aimed at all levels of work, from home construction to mass excavation. Case’s designers have focused on providing operators with improved comfort and increased visibility all around the cab, and the company’s ProCare system helps keep cost of ownership down and productivity up.

“The G Series wheel loaders, more than any other wheel loaders on the market today, lower total cost of ownership,” described Andrew Dargatz, Case Brand Marketing Manager for wheel loaders. “It starts with an understanding that wheel loaders are the ultimate production machines, whether they’re working 12, 14 hours a day in batch plants, pits and quarries, loading trucks at feedlots or at corporate dairies, or keeping us safe, running all day and night in the coldest of conditions to plow streets and parking lots.”

Tier 4 Final was a major reason for the upgrade to the line, which now boasts Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology across the board. The Fiat Power Train-designed SCR system reduces downtime related to emissions prevention, Dargatz noted.

“This system allows the engine to operate at its peak performance with no restrictions, no DPF filter, no recirculation,” he said. “That means there’s no downtime, no fuel wasted to burn off particulates, and no extreme exhaust temperatures. The engine components are not exposed to the heat stream.”

The G Series features the 521G, 621G, 721G, 821G, 921G, 1021G and 1121G. The loaders offer breakout force ranging from 20,937 pounds for the 521G up to 56,425 pounds on the 1121G.

A new cooling system moves all the machine’s coolers into a space behind the cab. This mid-mount cooling module features a design that avoids stacking coolers so heat does not transfer from one to another for better efficiency. In addition, the design means that Case engineers have been able to move the engine further back on the machine, which improves weight distribution and allows for use of a sloped rear hood that greatly improves rear visibility. The lowered engine also means all of the daily checks and fill points have been moved for ground-level servicing.

In the cab, Case has redesigned its electrical system and moved many functions to a membrane keypad, while providing an 8-inch LCD monitor that gives operators key operating information. A new heating and air conditioning system has been added, and noise has been reduced slightly overall.
