Hillhead 2016 adds more outdoor exhibitor space

Work is nearing completion on extending the showground area in preparation for Hillhead 2016. In total, around 16,000 tonnes of material have been excavated from an old tip area to create just under 2,000 cubic metres of additional exhibitor space.

Show director Richard Bradbury explained: "With a waiting list starting to build for outdoor space, we are delighted to be able to accommodate some of this demand in the new area. Two access points have been created to maximize visitor flow – one opposite the far end of the JCB stand and the other coming off the aisle populated by the Invest Northern Ireland stands."

Mr Bradbury added, "Interest for indoor space has also been buoyant. With the Main Pavilion almost full, we have once again increased the size of the Registration Pavilion."

The latest exhibitor list can be viewed at the Hillhead website.

Industries covered include quarrying, mining, recycling, heavy construction, materials handling, concrete, asphalt, road surfacing, civil engineering, plant hire, demolition and landfill.

The show takes place from June 28 to 30, 2016 at Hillhead Quarry near Buxton, Derbyshire.

Development work in full swing at Hillhead Quarry.
Almost 2,000m2 of additional exhibitor space are being created.
