APWA Introduces New Exhibitor Awards at 2014 International Public Works Congress in Toronto

The American Public Works Association (APWA) recently introduced two new APWA Exhibitor awards during the APWA 2014 International Public Works Congress & Exposition in Toronto. “This year, the APWA Congress Exhibitors in the Exhibit Hall included over 350 vendors, which traditionally form an integral feature of the annual Congress. APWA wanted to kick off a meaningful program to recognize and honor them,” said APWA Meetings Director Dana Priddy.

The two new awards include the “Best Booth Award” and the “Best New Product,” which are designed to give recognition to this important group. The “Best Booth Awards” are given to three exhibiting companies that impressed the panel of judges by creating inspiring, innovative, sensory and experiential exhibits.

The three categories awarded this year in the “Best Booth Award” include:

  • Single Booth & Best in Show Winner: Sycamore USA, Inc.
  •  Medium Booth: Precision Concrete Cutting
  • Large Booth: EJ

Also popular at the APWA International Congress this year was the New Product Showcase featuring products introduced within the last year. As voted by Congress attendees, the “Best New Product” winner was Morbark, Inc. for their ChipSafe Operator Safety Shield, which protects personnel operating brush chippers. Morbark, Inc. is based in Winn, MI and builds equipment that creates opportunity in forestry, recycling, sawmill, bio-energy, and tree care markets.
