Irrigation Association sets stage for 2011 show and offers landscape management survey

The Smart Water Application Technologies initiative (SWAT) has created a survey designed to identify environmental issues and emerging best practices for landscape management . Managed by the Irrigation Association (IA), SWAT is a collaborative effort between water providers and the irrigation industry, working to promote landscape water-use efficiency through innovative technology.   

The SWAT Promotions Working Group is seeking input from all landscape irrigation professionals with green industry interests. Survey findings will help to shape new educational resources to guide green industry professionals in meeting the sustainability needs of urban landscapes. The survey is open from Sept. 27 through Nov. 11.

The Irrigation Association's 2011 Irrigation Show is set to take place in San Diego, California from November 6-8. According to the IA, this year’s show anticipates will see more than 300 exhibitors and over 6,000 attendees, as well as an expanded New Product Contest, Ag Insight sessions focusing on grower needs, a pond pavilion and ASIC poster garden, as well as Master of Ceremonies Desi Williamson and speaker Alan Beaulieu leading the General Session.
