Demolition wheel loader

Liebherr’s L 586 2plus2 wheel loader is ideal for demolition and recycling applications. It has a tipping load of 20,430 kg, over 250 kW/340 hp, an operating weight of 31 tonnes, and comes equipped with a standard 5.5-cubic-metre bucket. According to company, its performance data and dimensions make the L 586 2plus2 the world’s largest hydrostatically-driven wheel loader. These wheel loaders feature excellent fuel economy relative to competitive machines of comparable size, and utilize 2plus2 drive technology, an optimization of the hydrostatic travel drive. This drive technology is based on one gear with two different sized hydraulic motors directly mounted, each supplying a separate coupling. As at least one of the hydraulic motors is alternatively active when accelerating or decelerating, the wheel loader smoothly adapts itself to the required travel speed and drawbar pull independently of the operational situation.
