John Deere’s latest compact utility tractor, model 3720, is designed with Au-toHST controls, which resemble those of an automobile, and a three-cylinder Yan-mar diesel engine which meets emission standards for Tier II. These 44 horsepower tractors are direct-injected for better cold weather starting, turbocharged for added power and performance, and use a standard PowrReverser transmission with 12 forward and 12 reverse speeds. Some other key features include: a one-piece sloped hood for improved visibility and serviceability; standard four-wheel drive; LoadMatch which keeps the tractor from stalling under heavy loads; larger grab handles on each fender; a performance tracking system with large easy-to-read dials that provide engine RPM, fuel level, and engine temperature at a glance; an operator presence system; and ASAE and a certified roll-over protective structure. Options include an available front quick hitch for quick and easy attachment of front implements, an iMatch quick hitch, and an optional eHydro transmission with infinite speed selection and no clutching or shifting required.
