The ultra-compact 418 compact excavator is designed specifically to access confined jobsites. It features pilot-operated joystick controls for consistent, smooth and fluid control of the machine, and operators can choose between ISO and standard pattern joystick operation through a control pattern selector valve. Units also feature an undercarriage that retracts to less than 28 inches, and a Tip-Over Protective Structure which folds down so that the excavator can travel through a standard-size doorway for work on interior jobsites. These units also include protected hoses and a hydraulic cylinder mounted on top of the boom.
Bobcat also recently announced the availability of their new E80 excavator, which is the largest excavator in the company’s lineup, featuring a dig depth of 15 feet 6 inches and an operating weight of 18,880 pounds with rubber tracks.
