Super Boom skid steers give added lifting capacities

New Holland’s Super Boom feature on its skid steer loaders provides increased productivity through high lift capacities, long forward dump reach and faster cycle times. The design places the weight of the load between the tires for greater stability, and an excellent line of sight is maintained when the loader arms are raised. More forward reach means high sided trucks and hoppers can be loaded easier, and steep dump angles let the bucket dump completely.

The largest skid steer in the line is the L190. Powered by a 90-horsepower FPT four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the L190 is capable of lifting a load of 2,800 pounds (1,270 kg) with a dump height of 102.8 inches (2.6 m) and a dump reach of 31.7 inches (0.8 m) at maximum height. All engines are Tier III certified and fuel efficient. An optional dual-range transmission on the L190 delivers travel speeds of more than 11 mph, saving time on the job. High-flow hydraulics are also available as an option on the L190. The L190 benefits from a deluxe cab that includes a comfortable, contoured suspension seat as standard equipment. Visibility is increased all around the machine, including a see-through area on the cab roof to ensure the bucket is visible at all heights, and a low engine hood ensures that rear visibility is very good as well.
