Elliott Company has signed a contract to provide a 12 mW turbine-generator set for Suncor’s Voyageur project in Alberta. The turbine generator will capture excess steam from Suncor’s recycle and rich fuel gas processes to generate between 3.4 mW to 12 mW of electricity, depending on the season. The power will be used to supplement utility requirements in Suncor’s upgrader facility and distributed throughout the remainder of the plant as available.
Delivery is scheduled for fall 2009.
