Following the introduction earlier this year of five models in their new line of compact tractors, Bobcat has now announced the availability of the line’s four remaining models as well as the Bob-Tach quick attachment mounting system for the front-end loader as an option.
The four new models are the CT335, CT440, CT445 and CT450 (the CT450 is shown here with a box blade attachment). These four tractors are available in three different packages: with a three-point implement hitch with power take off (PTO); or with a three-point hitch, PTO and a loader joystick and control valve (with or without an enclosed cab.) Ideal for commercial landscapers and groundskeepers, these four new models have an independent PTO that can be engaged with the flip of a switch while the tractor is in motion, as well as a heavier and larger chassis and higher horsepower. Cab models have standard heat and air conditioning and are radio-ready. The cab also has curved glass to reduce glare, and good visibility with a glass window on the bottom rear of the cab so operators can see the three-point hitch area, as well as doors on both sides of the tractor for operator access when the machine is parked next to obstructions.
Rear implements available for use on Bobcat compact tractors include an angle blade, auger, backhoe, box blade, finish mower, rotary cutter, snowblower, soil cultivator, tiller and tine rake. Plus, units feature a remote three-point hitch adjustment lever on the back of the machine, which allows the operator to raise and lower hitch links from the rear of the tractor for easier hookup of implements.
For hooking up attachments to the front-end loader, the Bob-Tach quick attachment mounting system is now available on all nine Bobcat compact tractor models introduced this year. The Bob-Tach system allows operators quick and effortless changing of multiple front-end attachments. This feature also enables the tractor to perform multiple functions with the front-end loader. Currently, a bucket and pallet forks are available for use on the front-end loader, with additional attachments planned for future release.
Some other key features include: four-wheel drive for travelling over and working in rough terrain; hydrostatic transmissions for easy operation; sleek hoods and side panels made of steel; standard comfort and safety features including a spark arrestor muffler, horn, brake lights, a standard Bobcat suspension seat with a fully retractable seat belt; and a rollover protective structure (ROPS) that can be folded down to make transportation and storage of the tractor more convenient.
The CT450 has a 50-hp interim Tier IV diesel engine, a hydrostatic transmission and three travel speed ranges. This model weighs 3,935 pounds, is 69 inches wide with agricultural tires, and has a maximum three-point lift capacity of 2,625 pounds.
