2009 Nissan Titan

2009 Nissan Titan
The 2009 Titan is offered in four models – XE, SE, PRO-4X and LE. King cab and crew cabs are available as well as four bed lengths – five feet, six inches and seven feet for crew cab, and six feet, six inches and eight feet for king cab.

Titan LWB (longer-wheel-base) models feature a seven-foot bed on the crew cab body configuration and an eight-foot bed on the king cab body, and include a new 140-litre fuel tank. Titan also continues to offer features such as wide-open rear doors (king cab) which open nearly 180 degrees for unobstructed access, an available high-utility bed that includes a factory-applied spray-on bedliner, a Utili-track tie-down system that provides ultimate cargo hauling flexibility, and an integrated, lockable bedside storage compartment. For 2009, every Titan offers Nissan’s advanced Endurance V8 as standard equipment. This all-aluminum 5.6-litre V-8 engine produces 317 hp and 385 lb.-ft. of torque, and includes advanced engine technology such as an aluminum block with cast iron cylinder liners, forged steel crankshaft, microfinished crankshaft and camshaft, graphite-coated pistons, six-bolt main bearing caps, and low-noise single-stage timing chain. Titan’s standard five-speed automatic transmission was designed especially for heavy-duty truck use, with emphasis on serious towing. Each component was created for full-size truck application, and a wide gear ratio was used to create a high performance control system, producing top-class acceleration, power and shifting. For 4WD models, Titan adapts an advanced shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive system with 2WD/4HI/4LO modes with an electronically-controlled part-time transfer case. Maximum towing capacity is 9,500 pounds for king cab and 9,300 pounds for crew cab (when properly equipped), and a rugged, fully boxed high-strength all-steel F-Alpha platform is used for enhanced crash performance and long-term durability. The 2009 Titan also includes a long list of safety equipment including supplemental curtain air bags that help provide side-impact and rollover protection for outboard passengers, and three-point rear passenger seat belts.
