MINExpo brings industry’s best to Las Vegas

Top companies in the North American mining industry will be gathering in Las Vegas this month for MINExpo International 2008, the premier exhibition of equipment, technology and solutions for mining and related operations. Scheduled for September 22 to 24, 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the show – held every four years – will be the biggest ever held by the National Mining Association (NMA) with exhibits taking up more than 600,000 square feet of convention cEnter #space.

On the trade show floor, the NMA is expecting more than 1,200 exhibitors to fill the booths with products and services that will range from the largest haulage and extraction equipment on the market down to the smallest and most specific products every mining operator needs to ensure the job goes smoothly. The event kicks off with registration on Sunday, September 21, and will get officially underway Monday, September 22 with an opening ceremony at 8:30 am. The exhibits open at 9 a.m. and run until 5 p.m. Monday. Tuesday brings the first day of education sessions, 20 in total through two days, featuring topics that range from safety to exploration to all levels of mining operations, all presented by industry professionals. The trade show exhibits will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. again on Tuesday, as well as Wednesday.
