Kobelco excavator provides digging and dozing

Kobelco’s new ED195 Blade RunnerT excavator combines the features and benefits of both an excavator and a dozer.
Paul Golevicz, brand marketing manager at Kobelco America, said: “No matter the job – trenching, backfilling, lifting material, loading trucks or clearing sites – the ED195 provides a true competitive edge by combining two high-performance machines into one piece of equipment.” The ED195 features a turbocharged FPTT engine. This newest member of the Blade RunnerT line also features the Kobelco Intelligent Total Control System (ITCS), which recognizes an operator’s actions and assists with repeatability functions by providing progressive power for fine leveling and grading applications.
Like Kobleco’s other Blade RunnerT models, the ED195 provides excellent stability and allows for smooth navigation in some of the roughest terrains. Since the ED195 can be used for digging and dozing applications, the machine is highly adaptable and excellent for site-prep tasks. The Kobelco ED195 has four standard working modes for enhanced performance. The H Mode allows heavy digging and high productivity while the S Mode delivers standard digging and increased fuel savings. The B Mode powers one-way flow attachments (e.g., breakers) and the A Mode is used for attachments that require two-way flow. The ED195 also features Heavy Lift on command, which provides approximately 10 percent more lifting power without time limit.
The excavator has an enhanced cab design for operator comfort and productivity. Two-way hydraulic flow can be activated from the cab and the hydraulic lockout has been repositioned for easier reach and activation. The cab features a seven-way adjustable suspension seat, cross-flow air ventilation and an orange backlit monitor with sunshade for easy daylight viewing. All mechanical components are grouped together for easy daily maintenance checks, increasing overall productivity.
