Case 1221E standard and high-lift wheel loaders
The new 1221E expands the Case E Series wheel loader line. It is powered by a fully electronic, six-cylinder Tier III-certified Cummins engine that boasts 320 net hp (239 kW) at maximum performance. Ideally suited for roads and bridges, site preparation, and sand, gravel, stone and aggregates applications, the Case 1221E wheel loader has an operating weight of 30 metric tons (65,600 pounds) and a standard payload capacity of 7.6 cubic yards (5.7 cubic metres).

The large, isolation-mounted cab on the 1221E is quiet, with an operator sound level of 72 dBA. Maximum operator adjustments increase operator comfort, productivity and visibility. Optional Ride Control provides improved productivity through excellent material retention while reducing shock loads on the machine and operator. Ride Control can be set for full-time mode or in auto mode, which activates when roading the wheel loader above six mph.

The Case 1221E also features limited-slip axles on the front and rear to automatically transfer power from the wheel that’s slipping to the wheel that’s gripping. Outboard planetary and wet-disc brakes provide machine stability because the weight is outside the frame rather than inside. The Z-bar linkage equipped 1221E provides high production, fast cycles, optimized operating loads and great visibility to the bucket. For applications requiring more dump clearance, such as loading materials into high sided trucks, the 1221E XR has high lift throughout the complete cycle.
