2019 Ram Heavy Duty provides benchmark for performance and capability

The standard engine in the 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty is upgraded to the proven and potent 6.4-litre HEMI V8, delivering class-leading 410 gas horsepower @ 5,600 rpm and 429 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4,000 rpm to handle the payload and towing requirements of the heavy-duty truck user.

The 2019 Ram Heavy Duty is the most powerful, most capable pickup in the segment, according to the manufacturer, with a towing capacity of 15,921 kg (35,100 lbs.) and a payload capacity of 3,484 kg (7,680 lb.). Driving it all is a never-before-seen torque rating of 1000 lb.-ft. from the Cummins 6.7-litre High Output Turbo Diesel engine. The new Ram Heavy Duty also sets benchmarks in ride and handling, luxury, materials, innovation, and technology extending well past any competitive offerings.

The new ANSI A92.22 standards for Safe Use and ANSI A92.24 standards for Training published on December 10, 2018, and everyone must be fully in compliance within one year. Michelin adds to decades-long innovation partnership with Daimler Trucks

In 2015, Michelin and DTNA began collaboration through an advanced-engineering project with the objective to reduce the fuel consumption of Freightliner's next-generation Cascadia Class 8 heavy-duty trucks.

Michelin North America, Inc. is partnering with Daimler Trucks North America on a key feature of the recently announced Freightliner Cascadia Class 8 heavy-duty truck. Three years in development, the MICHELIN X Line Energy D+ tire will be the featured long-haul drive-tire solution, contributing to the new Cascadia's 5 percent fuel-efficiency improvement over the 2017 model. With about 35 percent of vehicle fuel consumption attributed to overcoming tire rolling resistance, the MICHELIN X Line Energy D+ sets new standards for ultra-low rolling resistance in a dual drive tire (1) as one of DTNA's key fuel-efficiency building blocks in the new Cascadia.
