Asphalt Drum Mixers offers four models of portable and stationary recycle systems to enhance asphalt plants' cost efficiency. Recycle systems allow plants to use milled material in hot mix asphalt (HMA). Since recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) is much cheaper than virgin aggregate, the result is a less expensive finished product that maintains the high quality of a pure virgin aggregate mix.

Caterpillar production-class Tandem Vibratory Rollers offer versatile vibratory options including oscillation

Caterpillar Inc. has added new production-class Tandem Vibratory Rollers to their paving products family. The new models are the CB13, CB15 and CB16. New nomenclature corresponds to the 13-, 15- and 16-ton weight classes they reside in. Furthermore, these models can be equipped with an oscillatory vibration system for excellent application versatility, and offer refinements to the operator controls, water spray system, service access and lighting packages.

Dynapac North America introduces Oscillation to Generation VI Double Drum Roller Line

Dynapac North America has expanded its comprehensive roller product line with the addition of the Dynapac CO4200 Generation VI Double Drum Roller with Oscillation. Ammann pivot-steered pneumatic-tired roller has operating weight of 3,200 kg

Ammann has introduced the ART 35 Tier 4i, a light, pivot-steered pneumatic-tired roller. With an operating weight of 3,200 kg, the ART 35 T4i is the lightest pneumatic roller in the Ammann lineup. The machine design is compact, with a length of 3,260 mm and a width of 1,540 mm. The design provides stability, maneuverability and ground access to service points.

Innovative VÖGELE technology in Offset PowerFeeders pays off

Decoupled material transfer from the feed vehicle to the road paver is one of the major drivers in road construction. After all, this process is a critical factor with a considerable impact on the quality of asphalt paving projects. Material feeders are consequently gaining ground around the world - also because the machines simultaneously enhance productivity. The advanced MT 3000-2i Offset PowerFeeder, for instance, has a conveying capacity of 4,000 t per work shift. The new CC1100/CC1200 VI asphalt rollers from Dynapac are designed to meet the construction industry's tough conditions with the operator in mind resulting in a robust, comfortable and modern machine for best compaction results. The new machine has a unique design with its cross-mounted engine in combination with excellent visibility and massive casted forks with built-in flexible lifting/towing/tie down possibilities. 

Cat cold planers designed for production, maneuverability

The new Cat PM820, PM822, and PM825 Cold Planers are designed to be highly productive, highly maneuverable, half-lane milling machines capable of controlled full-depth removal of asphalt and concrete pavements in a single pass. Operating weights for the new models range from 36 130 to 37 500 kg (79,630 to 82,650 lb.), and cutting widths from 2 010 to 2 505 mm (79 to 98.6 in.). All three new machines use the Cat C18 ACERT engine, rated at 563 kW (755 hp), meeting EPA Tier 4-Final/EU Stage IV emission standards, and iso-mounted to reduce vibration.

BOMAG showcases product portfolio and new technologies at “Innovation Days”

BOMAG recently hosted nearly 1,200 guests representing approximately 60 countries, from North America to faraway New Zealand, during its third biennial Innovation Days, held September 18-23, 2017 in Boppard, Germany. During two-day workshops and presentations, customers experienced the company's products in action, learned about new and key technologies from application experts, and witnessed manufacturing first-hand in factory tours. This year's week-long Innovation Days also gave BOMAG an opportunity to showcase it newly constructed demonstration and training center.
