The 114SD offers a 114-inch BBC cab made of corrosion-resistant aluminum, reinforced with e-coated steel. It has a contoured hood slope for superior visibility and a 50-degree wheel cut for better maneuverability. Add key weight-saving components and our proprietary SmartPlex™ Electrical System, and you’ve definitely got the latest and greatest equipment for any construction job.

The 122SD is the ultimate work truck with up to 600 horsepower, a torque rating up to 2,050 lb-ft and a GCWR up to 160,000 lbs. It's rugged on the outside, yet comfortable on the inside. With a wheel cut up to 50-degrees and frame rail RBMs up to five million inch-pounds per rail it can haul anything from granite to logs to heavy equipment with ease – across severe terrain, down a mountain and around hairpin curves. Following the successful launch of the Freightliner Trucks Hardest Working Cities recognition program, Freightliner has announced four new cities will be recognized with the award in 2016. The company released the full list of cities at the World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas during a reception in the Freightliner booth. The award winners for this year will be: New York City, Charlotte, Edmonton, and Seattle-Tacoma.

Toronto and Dallas join the ranks of Freightliner's hardest working

Toronto and Dallas are the latest cities to receive a Freightliner Trucks Hardest Working Cities Award. They are in good company, joining Indianapolis, Salt Lake City, Nashville and Los Angeles, which were honoured earlier in 2015. These cities were selected after an exhaustive review of more than 400 metropolitan census areas in North America that looked at 11 different categories, including growth in employment rates, construction employment, infrastructure investment, vocational truck sales and more.

Alliance Concrete Pumps aligns with Freightliner M2 106

Alliance Concrete Pumps has been manufacturing concrete pumps for the U.S. and Canadian markets for more than a decade. The company was founded shortly after industry veterans Ken Friesen, president, and Mike Enns, national sales manager, discussed the possibility of a new business that would distribute South Korea–based Jun Jin Concrete Pumps in North America. Enns had worked with Jun Jin for two years prior to the decision to launch Alliance Concrete Pumps. Friesen, owner of a large construction business, was excited by the potential of a new business related to the manufacturing of concrete pumps and partnering with Jun Jin.

Sandoval took part in the inaugural trip of the Freightliner Inspiration Truck in autonomous mode with Dr. Wolfgang Bernhard, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG Daimler Trucks & Buses, at the controls.

CP Crane Takes Delivery of First Terex Crossover 8000 Boom Truck in Canada

Canadian Professional Crane, Inc., (CP Crane) of Waterdown, Ontario, recently purchased a new 80-ton (72.5-tonne) Terex Crossover 8000 boom truck, the first sold in Canada. According to Aram Malek of CP Crane, the company needed a crane that could handle up to 80 tons but would also keep a small footprint and only require one operator. The Crossover 8000 boom truck met all of CP Crane’s needs.
