Economical all-rounder on four axles: Liebherr unveils the new economical and versatile LTM 1090-4.2 mobile crane

Liebherr has  unveiled a versatile, economic 4-axle machine  the new LTM 1090-4.2 mobile crane. The crane combines mobility, performance and economy in a one comprehensive package. The new 90-tonne (110 USt) crane is suitable for global economical mobility as it can travel with an axle load of 10 tonnes (22,050 lbs), 12 tonnes (26,400 lbs) and 16 tonnes (35,300 lbs). It features a 60-metre (197 ft) telescopic boom, a whole 10 metres (33 ft) more than its predecessor, the LTM 1090-4.1. The new crane carries 8.8 tonnes (19,400 lbs) of ballast with a 12-tonne (26,400 lbs) axle load, 2.1 tonnes (4,600 lbs) more than its predecessor. In this configuration the LTM 1090-4.2 is now the most powerful 4-axle crane on the market. ECOdrive and ECOmode make the new 90-tonne (110 USt) crane particularly green with lower fuel consumption and noise emissions. Liebherr innovations VarioBallast and VarioBase® also deliver improved performance, flexibility and safety for this new crane model.

Liebherr Drilling Rigs Deployed for Plant Expansion at Airbus Defence and Space

Two Liebherr drilling rigs, an LB 28-320 and an LB 36-410, are being used for deep foundation work as part of the Airbus Defence and Space plant extension in Immenstaad am Bodensee, Germany. The machines are equipped with the rotary drives BAT 320 and BAT 410. The company Kurt Motz Baubetriebsgesellschaft GmbH & Co KG is carrying out foundation work for a new production building for the “Integrated Technology Center (ITC)” at the premises of Airbus Defence and Space, a division of the Airbus Group.

Liebherr's newest crawler concrete pump the THS 110 D4f-K features a maximum concrete output of 133 yd³/h (102 m³/h) powered by a six-cylinder engine an is equipped with a powerful pump unit, known for its smooth operation and powerful suction. An open hydraulic circuit guarantees reduced system maintenance requirements. Additional structural details also contribute to optimum serviceability. High importance was afforded during the design phase to ensure that wear parts could be replaced quickly and easily. The smooth surfaces of the pump housing are easy to clean and the shape of the concrete hopper, devoid of edges and projections, minimizes the accumulation of concrete residue and soiling. An extensive standard scope of delivery for the crawler concrete pump includes for example, a 500-liter capacity water tank with water pump, as well as a lockable toolbox.

New L538 wheel loader from Liebherr developed for demanding applications

Liebherr's new L538 Wheel Loader is Tier 4f/Stage IV emission regulations compliant and is one of the three models representing the new generation of mid-size loaders. During Conexpo, Liebherr showcased the new L 538 mid-size loader with a Z-bar linkage for standard applications. The L 538 has a respective tipping load of 20,945 lb and a bucket capacity of 3.4 yd³. The three models comprising the new generation of mid-size loaders are: the L 526, L 538 and L 546.

Liebherr unveils the new PR 716 crawler dozer

Liebherr has extended its Generation 6 crawler tractor line with the new PR 716 Litronic. The line now includes six models, with operating weights ranging from 29,100 to more than 160,000 lbs. The PR 716 crawler tractor introduced at Bauma last April will be launched to the North American market this year during Conexpo. It has an operating weight of 29,100- 33,510 lb with an engine output of 126 HP /93kW and is powered by a 4-cylinder diesel engine Tier 4f / Stage IV.
