World of Concrete 2018 was the 43rd year of the show and exceeded expectations to become the largest World of Concrete in nine years. This signature event for the concrete and masonry industries drew 58,222 registered professionals, and featured more than 1,567 companies (including 302 brand-new companies) exhibiting across more than 747,411 net square feet of exhibit space.

The Atlas Copco HiLight V3+ LED light tower is equipped with four 160-watt LED bulbs with specially designed directional glass optics capable of illuminating an area of up to 32,292 square feet.

Atlas Copco introduced three new electric plug-and-light LED light towers at World of Concrete. The HiLight P2+, V2+ and V3+ light towers can be powered directly from an auxiliary power source, a portable generator or the grid. Wacker Neuson crowns new Trowel Challenge competition winner at World of Concrete

Derek Gromacki, PJ Dick, Inc., Pittsburgh, PA, navigates one of the tight turns at the 2018 Wacker Neuson Trowel Challenge. This year’s course was reconfigured to show off the competitor’s precision finishing skills as well as speed.

Wacker Neuson's Trowel Challenge was once again held at  World of Concrete and continued its tradition as an exciting and tightly matched competition. Over 100 operators from around the world competed on the reconfigured course that required operators to show off their precision operating skills, as well as speed, when they navigated tight turns through the 1,750-square-foot course.

International HV vocational lineup adds mid-range diesel versions

International Truck unveiled the International HV Series Mid-Range Diesel (MRD) at World of Concrete 2018, including a bridge formula truck for the concrete industry. The first models of the International HV Series, a new line of vocational trucks designed for serious work, pack brawn and brains into a severe service vehicle, were the HV513 and HV613 trucks launched at the North American Commercial Vehicle Show in September 2017.
