With more than 200,000 square-feet of exhibit space, and nearly 300 exhibitors, the Canadian trucking community is descending upon Montreal and the ExpoCam 2017 this week. While Kenworth’s medium and heavy duty trucks will be on display inside the Place Bonaventure, its medium duty line will also be traveling the streets of Montreal, a short drive from where they were produced.
Kenworth Truck Centres of Ontario recently celebrated the opening of a new, spacious and state-of-the-art 40,000-square-foot facility in Cambridge to replace its former Kitchener dealership. Three hundred customers attended the Oct. 27 grand opening highlighted by a luncheon, a vendor fair and tours of the facility.
When Kenworth launched the T880 truck in 2013, the features and benefits of the new addition to the company’s line were focused towards two areas: building a truck that will get the job done, no matter how challenging, while also offering comfort and safety for the driver. The T880 has become a popular truck for both on-highway and vocational work. The chassis is used as the base for everything from mixers to refuse trucks. Now, it has another benefit for fleet owners: it’s available with the PACCAR MX-11 engine introduced in late 2015. The MX-11 provides operators with a new lighter-weight engine option that still provides a hefty amount of power and torque for challenging jobsite operations.
Incorporating the latest advancements in PACCAR engine technology, the new 11-litre PACCAR MX-11 engine is allowing Kenworth customers to reap productivity benefits.
