The all-new RT185, RT215 and RT255 have a dedicated track loader undercarriage custom built to aid in weight distribution.

Gehl's new line of track loaders called the Pilot Series includes three models: the RT185 with 1,850 pounds of rated operating capacity at 35 percent tipping load; the RT215 with 2,150 pounds of rated operating capacity at 35 percent tipping load; and the RT255 with 2,550 pounds of rated operating capacity at 35 percent tipping load. All three models feature pilot-operated joystick controls, which give the operator true one-to-one proportional control over the drive system. The controls are mounted to the seat for added legroom and comfort during operation. The result is a responsive system that provides both low- and high-end speed controllability.

The Pilot Series models also provide the same industry-exclusive features found on the RT Series track loaders. IdealTrax Automatic Track Tensioning simplifies routine maintenance and reduces downtime by ensuring the proper track tension when the engine is started and relieves the pressure on the track components when the engine is turned off. This ensures that the track is set to the correct tension upon each use of the machine, avoiding component damage from over- or under-tensioning.

Another industry-exclusive feature found on the Pilot Series track loaders is the IdealAccess fold-up door. The unique fold-up door design provides an overall machine operating height several inches lower than competitive machines with over-head door systems. The IdealAccess door allows operation of the machine with the door in the open position for added ventilation and allows for easy door opening even when a large attachment is installed.

The Pilot Series track loaders come standard with high-performance features. Self-levelling lift action keeps the attachment level as the lift arm is raised and lowered. Selectable self-levelling is available as an option, allowing the operator to disable the self-level action when needed from the operator's station. A two-speed hydrostatic drive system provides travel speeds up to 8.9 mph for fast movement around the work site.

The all-new RT185, RT215 and RT255 have a dedicated track loader undercarriage custom built to aid in superior weight distribution. This enhances stability, grading, tractive effort and ride control. This paired with ground clearance up to 12.7 inches makes the Pilot Series track loaders ideal for working in soft and muddy conditions.

Outfitted with a skid-attach plate and the All-tach attachment mounting system, the Pilot Series track loaders can easily use a variety of attachments. The optional Power-A-Tach system allows the operator to engage and disengage the attachment without leaving the operator station. The operator has to leave the cab only when hoses must be attached. An optional 14-pin connector allows for easy operation of complex attachments like brooms and cold planers. High-flow auxiliary hydraulics are also available as an option, providing hydraulic flows up to 37.4 gallons per minute.

An optional rear view back up camera provides increased visibility to the rear of the machine. Another available feature is a radio with hands-free Bluetooth which allows the operator to make calls or stream music from another device.

Additional optional features include, but are not limited to: pressurized cab with air conditioning, IdealAccess fold-up door and air suspension seat.

"Some of our equipment owners have been asking for a different control option within our track loader line," said Nathan Ryan, global product line manager, track loaders. "The all-new Pilot Series provides responsive pilot-operated joystick controls powered by simple, durable technology that is found on the Gehl skid loader line. This system is still mounted to the seat like the electronic controls in our RT Series machines, providing more legroom and added operator comfort during operation."

The Pilot Series compact track loaders from Gehl feature pilot-operated joysticks.
