Open face rotary brush mower

Manitou Americas, Inc. is adding a New EDGE 72" Open Face Rotary Brush Mower to their mower lineup for compact loader attachments. 

The new EDGE 72" Open Face Rotary Brush Mower is designed to cut through thick brush and glide over rough terrain with ease.  From heavy weeds, undergrowth, brush and small saplings up to 3" (76 mm) in diameter, the EDGE open face rotary brush mower is ideal for clearing trails for horses, snowmobiles, skiing or biking in areas that would normally be inaccessible. 

The new EDGE 72" Open Face Rotary Mower features:

  • Open face design cuts vegetation before the frame pushes the material over
  • Two 1/2" x 4" high strength steel blades
  • Cut through brush and saplings up to 3"
  • Auxiliary hydraulic flow required is 18-30 gallons per minute (68-114 lpm)
  • Balanced stump jumper for smooth operation

The EDGE 72" Open Face Rotary Brush Mower comes complete with hoses and flat face couplers.  This unit features a hydraulic motor requiring 18-30 gpm (68-114 lpm) and is available in 72" (1828 mm) for standard flow hydraulic flow systems.

Link-Belt Field Tests and Introduces TCC-2500

The all new Link-Belt TCC-2500 was already hard at work the same week Link-Belt Cranes formally introduced the crane world to the 250-ton (230-mt) telescopic crawler crane at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 in Las Vegas, NV. L.R. Willson and Sons, Inc. of Gambrills, MD is field testing the TCC-2500, completing tilt-panel work and steel erection for a 38,000 sq. ft. (3 530 sq. m) warehouse in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Capitol Heights, MD. A 13,000 lb. (5 896.7 kg) spreader bar and six parts line were used to place panels weighing as much as 84,000 lbs. (38 101.8 kg).

Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is celebrating the completion and official opening of its new High Desert Proving Grounds in Madras, Oregon.  The total High Desert Proving Grounds project required an $18.7 million investment by DTNA. Work began in June 2015 to clear the land with construction commencing in May 2016 by general contractor Kirby Nagelhout. The new proving grounds provide two distinct functions: firstly to merge real-world validation of DTNA's research and development and engineering initiatives and secondly to help bring new technologies to market faster than ever before.

Economical all-rounder on four axles: Liebherr unveils the new economical and versatile LTM 1090-4.2 mobile crane

Liebherr has  unveiled a versatile, economic 4-axle machine  the new LTM 1090-4.2 mobile crane. The crane combines mobility, performance and economy in a one comprehensive package. The new 90-tonne (110 USt) crane is suitable for global economical mobility as it can travel with an axle load of 10 tonnes (22,050 lbs), 12 tonnes (26,400 lbs) and 16 tonnes (35,300 lbs). It features a 60-metre (197 ft) telescopic boom, a whole 10 metres (33 ft) more than its predecessor, the LTM 1090-4.1. The new crane carries 8.8 tonnes (19,400 lbs) of ballast with a 12-tonne (26,400 lbs) axle load, 2.1 tonnes (4,600 lbs) more than its predecessor. In this configuration the LTM 1090-4.2 is now the most powerful 4-axle crane on the market. ECOdrive and ECOmode make the new 90-tonne (110 USt) crane particularly green with lower fuel consumption and noise emissions. Liebherr innovations VarioBallast and VarioBase® also deliver improved performance, flexibility and safety for this new crane model.
