New Cat 963K Track Loader Features Fuel and Performance Improvements

The Track Loader has long been known as a machine that can do it all on the jobsite, and it is often the first machine that can go to work in soft, wet underfoot conditions. The new Cat 963K offers that legendary versatility, along with a 10-30 percent gain in fuel efficiency and improved performance. The new track loader also offers updated cab and safety features for the comfort and convenience of the operator. The 963K meets U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final/EU Stage IV/Japan 2014 (Tier 4 Final)/Korea Tier 4 Final emission standards.

The 963K is powered by a 193 horsepower (144 kW) Cat C7.1 ACERT engine, offering fuel efficiency improvements over the previous model. An Eco Mode automatically reduces engine speed, but maintains selected ground speed when the machine is under light load. The more efficient engine and the Eco Mode combine to deliver a 10 – 30 percent reduction in fuel consumption compared to the 963D. And efficient use of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) – typically 2.5 to 3 percent of fuel consumption -- provides excellent overall fluid efficiency.

The 963K offers additional productivity with an optional high retention bucket that moves 5 percent more material per hour. For added versatility, the machine can be ordered with an optional Fusion™ Quick Coupler to allow easy use of forks, buckets, etc. from wheel loaders and other Fusion compatible machines.

The Caterpillar telematics system, Product Link is deeply integrated into the 963K, giving you easy access to timely information like machine location, hours, fuel usage, idle time and event codes via the online VisionLink user interface.
