Roadtec Brings Back Innovative Design for SP-100e Stealth Paver

Roadtec has brought back an innovative paver design with various updates. The SP-100e Stealth Paver is a simply-designed, low-maintenance gravity-fed paver built specifically for operating with the Roadtec Shuttle Buggy material transfer vehicle.

Gravity feeds the material directly to the auger from the mass flow hopper, replacing the need for slat conveyors, hopper wings, push rollers and tandem front boggies, thereby significantly reducing maintenance costs and initial purchase price. It also requires less engine power compared to a traditional conveyor system, which increases the machine’s fuel economy. The gravity-fed hopper is also used on Roadtec’s SP- 200e spray paver.

The SP-100e accepts the material at the top of the machine, where it is fed downward to the auger and screed. By combining this gravity-fed system with the Roadtec Shuttle Buggy, several common issues with conventional asphalt paving are addressed since the remixing capabilities of the Shuttle Buggy work to remedy physical and thermal segregation in the asphalt mix.

The SP-100e includes a Cummins QSB6.7 173-hp Tier 4i engine and provides a base paving width of 10 feet. The machine is propelled by solid rubber wheels and has a list a hopper capacity of 11 tons (10 mt).
